Daytime Makeup Tips

Thursday, June 9, 2011

Daytime makeup and nightime makeup can be very different; such as the colors you wear or the amount you wear. Overdoing it in the daytime can make you look older than you really are. Here are some steps to guide you:

Moisturizer with SPF:
This can keep your skin looking healthy as you age and will protect you from everyday sun damage. You can also apply BB cream as it already has primer, foundation, moisturizer, sun block in it.

Concealer:
This will even out your skin tone. Make sure it's is similar in your natural skin color.

Bronzer:
Normally I will skip this part. Otherwise, lightly bronze your face and neck. Stay away from very sparkly powders (some sparkle is okay).

Eye shadow:
Use a small eye shadow brush to apply a light shade of bronze or light pink; this will brighten up your face.

Blush:
Apply a light layer of blush to the apples of your cheeks moving the brush upward on your cheekbones. Use sparingly.

Eyeliner:
Applying eyeliner can waken up your eyes. Use a black or a brown depending on your hair and skin color.

Mascara:
Mascara here is optional. If you have long/full eyelashes skip this step. If you decide to use mascara only apply 1-2 coats, you don't want to cake it on.

Lips:
Use either a light color lip gloss or lipstick. A little shimmer is fine in a lip gloss, and a touch of it works well in your neutral base eye shadow to brighten up the eye area, too.

It may sound a lot but it can be done in about 6 minutes maximum. Enjoy these makeup tips before school or work. Don't be afraid to experiment with different colors. Don't forget to have fun.

GOOD LUCK :)
