LASHEM Double Trouble Mascara Review

Thursday, January 31, 2013

Product Name: LASHEM Double Trouble Mascara
Price: $19.99 (online from LASHEM directly, or Dermstore)
Quantity: 6ml

What it claims
Double Trouble Mascara adds definition and intense dimension for seductive, sultry eyes. One end contains flexible fibers to give you luscious, voluptuous lashes. The other end gives you longer, fuller lashes. Double Trouble Mascara creates the illusion of bigger, bolder, beautiful lashes that go the distance.

Have you heard about LASHEM? The LASHEM brand was developed to help the everyday woman keep her youthful glow; it is a reflection of a healthy and natural lifestyle to accommodate everyone from the working woman to the stay at home mother. Their brand combines natural ingredients for the highest quality made possible. They are dedicated to promoting natural beauty in a world full of unrealistic expectations in their current society. They offer anti-aging products that are natural and made in the United States. The LASHEM Natural Beauty Products line consists of mascara, anti aging creams, and eyelash booster.

Recently, I was given the opportunity to try out some of their products. But today, I'm gonna review one of their products, Double Trouble Mascara, as I've tested it for quite a while now. I'll be reviewing their 3 other products soon once I'm ready. This mascara is a two sided mascara - Lengthening (fibers) and Volumizing.

How to use? For best results, apply the Volumizing Mascara first, then finish with the Lengthening Mascara. Using both sides at the same time is not required and can be used separately.

The Volumizing Mascara is thicker in consistency than the Lengthening Mascara. Hence, the Volumizing Mascara gets dried pretty fast while the Lengthening Mascara feels a bit wet on application and needs some times to dry. I have to curl my lashes first before applying it as my lashes is kinda short, thin and straight. As you can see on the picture above, it does lengthen my lashes, nothing dramatic but enough to make them look natural. Does it clump? Yeah, sometimes... Depends on how you apply it. Try not to apply too much on the Volumizing Mascara as it will clump. This mascara is easy to remove, too. I guess that this mascara would be best suited for those with thick lashes naturally. And with that, they don't have to apply too much Volumizing Mascara but just to add length to the lashes with Lengthening Mascara. Overall, I'm quite happy with the results.

Here's the overall look (with flash and without flash)

It doesn't look so obvious from a distance but up close or in the light stands out...
